adolescence
i admit this isnt terribly original. but i wrote it down a while ago and its just
a story that touches me. theres a spirit that goes along with these words that i cant
explain, but some people will know what that is anyway.
two tom boys. red-haired. curly. short hair. other. short straight black hair. play in the
woods with boys a lot. war. other games. age. around fourteen. fifteen. they go watch movies
at the local cinema. foreign films. life is sweet. henry and june. others. the man who takes the
tickets is an old man who lets them in free (later his boss catches him. he is fired. or
maybe they have to pay). they become friends with the old man and go over his house for
tea often. he teaches them english. french. the language of the movies. one day they
accidentally find old worn pictures of young boys. he is gay. the girls set about adolescence
in their own way. little explorations with boys in the woods. they find the bond between each
other and begin to explore it. a deep love comes. they pretend scenes out of movies. one the man.
one the woman. sometimes both women. (maybe eventually one moves away. falls in love with another
girl. the other fools around with this one girl, but doesnt know how to tell the boy she likes about
it. who knows).
